Globe puts benefits from AI projects at ₱1.2 billion
An initial company assessment put the return on its AI investments at 2.8 times as of August 2026.

Telecommunications company Globe reported ₱1.2 billion in benefits from artificial intelligence projects as of August 2026. Its initial enterprise assessment covered revenue increases, costs avoided and productivity improvements from generative AI, alongside AI and machine learning initiatives.
The largest contribution was more than ₱825 million in extra revenue from commercial applications and customer-related projects, Globe said. These used AI to personalise offers and experiences for services including lending, roaming, Globe Rewards and postpaid plans.
Globe put realised cost avoidance at ₱368 million, citing applications across order management, finance, marketing technology and customer engagement. It said the tools had been incorporated into established processes to tackle operational problems.
Automation and AI productivity tools freed up more than 52,000 work hours, representing gains valued at ₱28 million, according to the company. Globe said this reduced repetitive work and gave employees more time for tasks involving judgement and collaboration.
Internal AI adoption stood at 90% in August 2026, while more than 450 employees belonged to its AI-builder community. The company said this enabled staff outside specialist technology teams to create solutions.
President and CEO Carl Cruz said Globe wanted to judge AI by its effects on customers, employees and business performance. The company plans to strengthen measurement and accountability for its AI spending.
