Tesla adds V2L power support and larger screen to Model 3 in Malaysia
Prices remain unchanged, while a separate RM350 adapter will allow owners to power external equipment from the car’s battery.

Tesla Malaysia has announced a Model 3 update that adds Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) Powershare capability and revises the cabin without changing local prices. The company says the feature is now supported across its new vehicles sold in Malaysia, including the Model Y and Model Y L.
Powershare draws energy from the vehicle’s battery to run external electrical equipment. Tesla says compatible cars can deliver up to 230V at 13A using its Outlet Adapter, which turns the charging port into a three-pin socket. The adapter costs RM350 but remains listed as coming soon on Tesla’s Malaysian website.
Every Model 3 variant now comes with a black headliner and a 16-inch central touchscreen as standard. A Zen Grey cabin finish and 19-inch Dark Nova wheels have also been added to the configuration options.
Tesla lists the following Malaysian prices and claimed driving ranges for the Model 3:
- Rear-Wheel Drive: from RM149,000, with a claimed WLTP range of 534km.
- Premium Rear-Wheel Drive: RM171,000, with a claimed range of 520km.
- Premium Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive: RM187,000, with a claimed range of 750km, the longest in the line-up.
- Performance All-Wheel Drive: RM232,000, with a claimed range of 600km and acceleration from 0 to 100km/h in as little as 3.1 seconds.
