Vietnamese quantum company Quanova has chosen Quandela’s MosaiQ system for a programme at Quang Trung University in Quy Nhon, Gia Lai. Quandela said the project would bring Vietnam its first quantum computer, with backing from Nam A Bank.

The partners presented the deployment project in Ho Chi Minh City on October 21, with representatives from the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution attending. Quandela described the initiative as the first collaboration between France and Vietnam in quantum computing.

The partnership is intended to give the university tools for teaching, research and innovation while developing local expertise beyond the installation. Plans include training for faculty, dedicated curricula and use of Quandela’s software environment.

A Quantum Innovator Residency Programme will involve students, researchers, educators and technology innovators in exploring practical applications. Quanova CEO Rossy Nguyen Hoang Hong said the company was developing the programme alongside Quandela, Quang Trung University and Nam A Bank.

Nam A Bank deputy CEO Vo Hoang Hai said the bank’s investment in core technologies, including quantum technology, was aimed at strengthening Vietnam’s high-tech capabilities through cooperation with French organisations.
