TikTok adds standalone shopping app in four Southeast Asian countries
The service is available in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines, with no confirmed plans for expansion to other markets.

Shoppers in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines can now access TikTok Shop through a separate app, TechCrunch reported. The launch was initially spotted by social media consultant Matt Navarra.
The iOS and Android app combines video-based shopping with personalised recommendations. Users can buy products featured in livestreams or short videos, complete payments within the app and monitor their orders. The store listing also promotes free shipping offers, first-order benefits and discounts exclusive to the app.
TikTok had not responded to a request from TechCrunch for comment. Plans to extend the app’s availability beyond the four markets remain unclear.
Regional sales figures show the scale of TikTok Shop’s business. Momentum Works estimated its Southeast Asian gross merchandise value (GMV) at US$45.6 billion in 2025, roughly double the previous level, Digital in Asia reported.
According to Cube data, TikTok Shop represented 39% of GMV generated collectively by TikTok Shop, Lazada and Shopee during the first half of 2026. Its share a year earlier was 27%, while Shopee’s share in the latest period stood at 55%.
Digital in Asia estimated that Malaysian GMV for TikTok Shop rose 132% in 2025, exceeding US$5 billion.
