Sony Xperia 10 VIII launches in Malaysia at RM2,999
Sony says the midrange phone offers a brighter screen and revised stereo speakers, while retaining the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset.

Sony has introduced its Xperia 10 VIII smartphone in Malaysia for RM2,999, following its initial launch in August. Buyers can choose between Frozen White, Frosted Grey and Misty Lilac.
The handset has a 6.1-inch OLED screen offering Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 and a 120Hz refresh rate. Sony says the display is 50% brighter than the Xperia 10 VII’s. The company also claims revised stereo speaker tuning delivers 15% higher volume and 30% more powerful bass.
A Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor powers the phone, alongside 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS storage, with support for 6GB of virtual RAM. Sony says its 5,000mAh battery provides up to two days of use between charges. The dedicated camera shutter button and 3.5mm headphone jack remain.
Photography hardware comprises a 50MP Sony Exmor RS main camera, a 13MP ultrawide camera and an 8MP front camera. The device runs Android 16, with Sony promising four major operating system upgrades and six years of security patches. The Android 17 update has already begun rolling out globally.
The phone is available through Sony’s shops and online stores. Until 30 November 2026, the company is offering gifts valued at RM768 with each purchase, comprising WH-CH730N headphones and a style cover with stand.
