Venture investors put US$3.2 billion into Asian fintech companies during Q3 2026, a quarterly increase of 28%, CB Insights data showed. Singapore’s share reached a record US$1.7 billion, with Ant International and Crypto.com contributing much of the investment.

A July 2026 Series A brought Ant International US$1.2 billion. The money is intended to fund overseas expansion and innovation in services including merchant payments and account management for businesses. The Ant Group spinoff started operating independently in 2024 and serves markets across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.

Also in July 2026, a strategic investment of US$400 million valued Crypto.com at US$20 billion. That financing is expected to support the platform’s move into additional asset classes, among them tokenised securities and derivatives. Its cryptocurrency and financial services business serves more than 100 million users worldwide.

The regional increase contrasted with a global slowdown. Worldwide fintech investment totalled US$11 billion in Q3 2026 after an 18% quarterly decline, marking its weakest level since Q3 2024. Transaction numbers dropped 17% to 650. Funding remained concentrated in large deals: rounds of at least US$100 million represented 4% of transactions while drawing 61% of invested capital.
