Lam Dong deploys AI robots to assist public service applicants
More than 210 people have used the robots in Phan Thiet ward since April, according to the local public administration centre.

Local administrations in Vietnam’s Lam Dong province have introduced AI-powered robots to guide residents through paperwork and online applications. The systems answer routine questions at public service centres, where officials say they are easing staff workloads.
Hoa Thang commune introduced a system combining robots with the MISA Agent Work platform in July. Nguyen Van Chien, director of its Public Administration Service Centre, said residents can obtain document checklists, learn about processing times and get guidance on using the National Public Service Portal.
Chien said automated responses give civil servants more time to review applications and assist with complex cases. Centre official Duong Minh Cam said the database is updated regularly, especially when procedures change.
In Phan Thiet ward, the robots offer round-the-clock information about documentation, fees, regulations and application procedures. Centre director Pham Thi Kha Uyen said more than 210 people had used them since April. The centre received more than 12,300 applications during the first nine months of 2026, with over 99 per cent completed before their deadlines.
Residents described using the Hoa Thang robot for marriage-certificate and household business licence enquiries. Vo Van Trung said its guidance helped him assemble a complete business registration application and save time. Song Luy, Tan Thanh and Bac Binh communes have also adopted robots and MISA Agent Work.
