Indonesian artificial intelligence start-up Dokai has been acquired by US company StackBlitz, which develops an AI-based application-building platform. The deal will bring Dokai's AI agent technology into StackBlitz's Bolt.new platform.

Dokai co-founder Rio Atmadja told CNBC Indonesia that its team would join Bolt.new's AI and machine learning organisation. He said Dokai's technology would help the platform tackle more complex enterprise tasks and connect applications with customers' existing systems, including CRM tools and internal data.

Rio described Bolt.new as a platform for building, running and deploying full-stack web applications through AI. Its uses range from websites and landing pages to database-connected business applications, customer portals, internal dashboards and SaaS products, he said.

Users can describe what they want in everyday language rather than write conventional code, then request additional features, design changes, database connections, login functions and payment systems. Rio said Bolt.new reached annual recurring revenue of US$20 million within two months of its launch.
