vivo has scheduled the Malaysian launch of its X500 smartphone series for 27 October 2026. The company has opened pre-orders ahead of the event, although it has not yet announced local prices or the complete specifications for either model.

The range made its debut in China with two models, the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max. Both use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 Pro processor, have 12GB of RAM and run Android 17-based OriginOS 7. Shared features include ultrasonic fingerprint readers and IP68 and IP69 ratings for resistance to dust and water.

The Pro Max has a 6.85-inch 2K ZEISS Master Color Display, storage of up to 1TB and a 7,800mAh battery. The smaller Pro pairs a 6.36-inch 1.5K ZEISS Master Color Display with up to 512GB of storage and a 6,500mAh battery. Both displays offer variable refresh rates reaching 144Hz, while charging support is rated at 90W wired and 40W wireless.

Camera hardware is another distinction between the models. The Pro Max includes a 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera, compared with the Pro’s 64MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera. Each also carries a 50MP ZEISS TrueDynamic main camera, a 50MP ZEISS ultra-wide camera and a 50MP front camera.

vivo says its Malaysian pre-order rewards are worth up to RM4,300. Further details about the local models are expected nearer the launch.
