Temasek Trust signs World Bank Group pact on climate, energy and agriculture
A Knowledge Node planned at Temasek Shophouse by 2027 will give philanthropic partners access to World Bank Group data, expertise and networks.

Temasek Trust and the World Bank Group signed a memorandum of understanding on October 12 to pursue initiatives covering agriculture, climate and energy. The agreement was concluded in Bangkok alongside the first World Bank Group Philanthropy Forum.
The partners will examine co-financing options and innovative financing methods to draw additional resources into those sectors. A Temasek Trust spokesperson said the areas were selected because the two organisations’ strengths complemented each other.
The spokesperson said the collaboration aims to gather knowledge and effective solutions to help turn promising pilot projects into models that can be replicated and expanded.
The World Bank Group also introduced its Philanthropy Hub to strengthen ties with philanthropic organisations and other partners. As part of that effort and the agreement, Temasek Trust will establish a Knowledge Node at Temasek Shophouse by 2027. It will provide philanthropic partners with access to the World Bank Group’s expertise, datasets and networks.
