PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) said its geothermal electricity production reached 4,113 GWh through September 2026, a company record and an increase of 9.86 per cent from the corresponding period in 2025.

Speaking at a media briefing in Jakarta, president director Ahmad Yani attributed the increase to field management and efforts to maintain steam supplies, allowing power plants to operate continuously. The company reported a capacity factor of almost 90 per cent and an availability factor of 99 per cent.

Kamojang was the largest contributor, generating 1,438 GWh, up 8.4 per cent year on year. Lumut Balai recorded a capacity factor of 102 per cent, exceeding its contractual target, while increased load uptake at Lahendong accompanied a capacity factor of 82.8 per cent.

PGE reported revenue of US$352 million, an increase of 10.46 per cent, alongside net income of US$126 million and EBITDA of US$287 million. Finance director Fransetya Hutabarat said net income grew 21 per cent, outpacing revenue growth, which he attributed to strict efficiency measures and asset management.

The company also said its operations avoided emissions equivalent to 3.48 million tonnes of CO2.
