Cento Ventures has led a US$7.6 million Series A investment in Salary Hero, a Thai earned wage access provider that entered Malaysia in the second quarter of 2026. The round also drew investment from Kairous Capital, based in Malaysia, and M Venture Partners.

Salary Hero has set up a Malaysian team to build relationships with corporate clients and distribution partners. Its goal is to work with 50 corporate partners there by the end of 2027.

Alongside the fundraising, the company enlarged a credit facility provided by regional lenders to US$10 million. The facility supports its on-demand pay offering, which lets workers access earnings before payday.

Salary Hero says it reaches over 300,000 employees across more than 100 businesses in Thailand, spanning manufacturing, logistics, hospitality and retail. It also provides financial education programmes and budgeting tools, connecting with employers’ payroll and HR systems via more than 25 enterprise HR partners.

The company estimates that workers have avoided US$150 million in loans from predatory lenders through its services. It reported that frontline employee turnover fell by 15 to 25 per cent among employers using the platform. Its AI tools examine anonymised workforce data to identify retention risks and help employers plan responses.
