BYD plans Indonesian FLASH Charger network of 100 units by end-2026
Ten units are already installed at DENZA dealerships, while BYD says an app for its charging service will be launched soon.

Indonesia currently has 10 BYD FLASH Charger units at DENZA dealerships, and BYD plans to bring the nationwide number to 100 by the end of 2026, according to the company.
The technology combines BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery, known as Blade Battery 2.0, with charging equipment capable of supplying up to 1,500 kW through a single connector. BYD claims it can take a battery from 10% charge to 70% in 5 minutes. Vehicles require compatible batteries and power-management systems to use that capability.
In a separate performance claim, BYD reported charging from 10% to 97% in 9 minutes during a test conducted before media representatives in normal environmental conditions. That result reflects the manufacturer’s testing, not independent verification across all operating conditions.
BYD also uses an Energy Storage–Charging Integrated System to support the chargers. The company says this combines stored energy with charging facilities, reducing the need for large direct draws from the electricity grid while helping supply high charging power.
Charger locations can be found through BYD FLASH Charging’s social media channels and operators Utomo Charge+, iGreen+ and Arista Power. BYD says it will launch a FLASH Charging app soon, but has not specified its features or functions.
