A 300 hour yoga teacher training in India program is for individuals that wish to deepen their practice and teach at an advanced level. Programs at both levels must have the Yoga Alliance accreditation for their graduates to be able to teach internationally.
Students must complete a school’s specific yoga training program in order to be eligible to teach yoga. Unrelated training programs may not teach what is required to teach or practice various styles of yoga.
Curricula Differ Greatly
Asana (yoga postures), pranayama (yoga breaths), yoga anatomy and yoga philosophy are some of the subjects that various schools teach in their yoga teacher training programs. Some schools may not teach anatomy of yoga postures and/or teach very little of yoga philosophy. Schools may not teach the yoga sutras. Graduates of these programs may not be qualified or prepared to teach yoga.

Different Environments

Both types of schools may teach legitimate yoga programs, but they may differ in what they teach and expect from their students.
