Malaysian buyers can pre-order Apple's new touchscreen MacBook Pro range from 29 October 2026, with prices starting at RM11,999. According to Apple Malaysia, deliveries will begin on 6 November, when the laptops will also become available through Apple stores and authorised resellers.

For M5 Pro models, starting prices are RM11,999 for the 14-inch size and RM14,499 for the 16-inch size. Education pricing is RM11,399 and RM13,599 respectively. M5 Max models begin at RM19,299 and RM20,499, with respective education starting prices of RM17,999 and RM19,099.

Apple describes the range as its first laptops with touch-enabled screens. Keyboard and trackpad input remain available, while Dynamic Island lets users access notifications and other information on the display. The redesigned chassis is thinner and lighter than those of the previous models.

The PROLED XDR screen uses tandem OLED technology. Apple lists peak HDR and SDR brightness of up to 2,000 nits, a 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a variable refresh rate of 120Hz. Both P3 and Adobe RGB colour spaces are supported, and buyers can choose an optional nano-texture finish.

Configuration options extend to 128GB of unified memory and 16TB of storage. The laptops run macOS 27, and Apple claims battery endurance of up to 24 hours. Connections include three Thunderbolt 5 ports, HDMI, an SDXC card slot, MagSafe and a headphone jack, alongside Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. External display support reaches up to three screens with M5 Pro and up to four with M5 Max.
